RRRR (Resilience, Rights and Respectful Relationships) supports schools and early childhood settings to promote and model respect, positive attitudes and behaviours. It teaches our children how to build healthy relationships, resilience and confidence. The Respectful Relationships whole-school approach recognises that schools are a workplace, a community hub and a place of learning. Everyone involved in our school community deserves to be respected, valued and treated equally. We know that changes in attitudes and behaviours can be achieved when positive attitudes, behaviours and equality are lived across the school community, and when classroom learning is reinforced by what is modelled in our school community. At Movelle Primary School, our students are involved in all aspects of Respectful Relationships, and supporting students' emotional literacy, personal strengths, coping & problem solving skills, amongst other important topics. Being a Lead School within our area, delivering RRRR to not only our students, but also supporting neighbouring schools, is certainly something we take pride in.The Movelle Breakfast Club Program provides a FREE healthy breakfast for students who may otherwise arrive at school hungry. Research shows that one in seven children arrive at school not having eaten breakfast, which can affect their learning and attendance. The School Breakfast Club Program is managed by Foodbank Victoria, the largest food welfare agency in Australia. Foodbank Victoria in partnership with the Victorian Government will deliver healthy, free food supplies to our school here at Movelle. All students are invited to come along to breakfast club to grab a bite to eat, or just to come along and have a chat!Held Monday - Friday in the canteen near the Gym from 8:20am - 8:40am.The Fathering Project is a unique opportunity for our "Champion Dads’ to work together as a group, with us as a school community and of course with your child/ren.
Activities may include; bike rides, building billy carts, flying kites, overnight camps, fun runs, sports days and many more.
Events will be regularly held at Movelle Primary School to provide opportunities for our Movelle dads and male role models to come together, spend time with their child/ren and network with the dads and males in our community.
Better Buddies is an evidence-based framework designed by the Alannah and Madeline Foundation to create friendly and caring primary school communities where we aim to reduce bullying. At Movelle we pair up our new Prep students with Year Six students to learn and teach important values through fun activities, in a caring environment. Better Buddies enables younger children to feel safe and cared for while older children feel valued and respected.
